Contact the League of American Broadcasting Radio (ARRL). ARRL is the national amateur radio. The ARRL has existed since the early days was the radio. I believe it was built in 1912th

ARRL offers a good and valuable advice on all aspects of amateur radio and was worth the time to check on the website:

(I have a ham of 46 years)

First. go find a club near you, ham, and one of their meetings and ask a child to participate in the certification.

If you have no experience in electronics, then it is likely that will start at the lowest first class., But later can still be improved, as you improve your skills and desire.

You need to study for a test, but the lower classes is super easy. (Especially in the U.S.)

Please note that your license does not receive, because you pay a fee, but it has reached a level of education, approved by the Government and accepted internationally.

It is an achievement for a license and something to be celebrated and should be treated with respect.

His team buys depends on several factors, followed by the license class, above all, of his budget.

You do not have to be rich to an amateur radio station in the air, or super smart. :-)

My site can help you to some basic principles of radio and electronics.
